A Fargo man was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault after his girlfriend reported that he kneed her in the face several times, Moorhead police Lt. Tory Jacobson said.

The woman called police at 4:13 this morning from the Holiday gas station at 1501 11th St. N. to report the incident in the Mobile Manor trailer court.

The woman had bruising on her head and face and possibly a broken nose, Jacobson said.

She was taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo but became uncooperative once she was there, refusing to give a statement or allow an X-ray of her nose, Jacobson said.

Police located Charles Edward Gorgol, 27, of Fargo, as he was getting into a car in the trailer court and arrested him on suspicion of fifth-degree domestic assault. He was taken to the Clay County Jail.
