Eric Gene Johnson, 31, of Wyndmere, N.D., died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 near Wyndmere, N.D. as a result of a traffic accident.
He was born Nov. 28, 1976 in Fargo, N.D. and grew up in Harwood, N.D. and later Kindred, N.D. He graduated from Wyndmere High School. He played football and participated in FFA and 4H. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He attended Johnson and Wales College in Providence, R.I. He married Heather Campbell and they made their home in Rhode Island.
He worked for Hasbro Toy, Amica Insurance and Fidelity. He also worked as a roadie with rock bands, Nightwish and Camelot among others.
His wife died in a car accident in 2005. Shortly after he returned to the area with their daughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah Ashley; father, Gene, of Wyndmere, N.D.; mother, Alice Mayer (Vern Massie) of Park Rapids; brother, Aaron; two sisters, Ashley and Amanda, all of Wyndmere, N.D.; grandmother, Lucille Andersen of Glendive, Mont.; two half-brothers, Wade and Duane of Fargo, N.D.; and step-grandmother, Virginia Mayer of Glendive, Mont.

Funeral Service: Thursday, Nov. 6 at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, N.D.
Burial: Lakeside Cemetery, near Park Rapids.
