The Park Rapids Enterprise has been recognized in the 2006 National Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Contest.
The newspaper earned honorable mention for the "2004-05 Park Rapids School District Curric-ulum, Instruction and Student Achievement Annual Report."
The report was cited in the "best public notice section" category.
Sports editor Vance Carlson's "Pulling for a Victory" also earned honorable mention, his tenacious tug-of-war contestants (and a cantankerous onlooker) swaying judges in the best feature photo category.
The awards will be presented in Oklahoma City in October.
