The Park Rapids Area Schools had open houses for students and parents Wednesday evening, Sept. 1.

It was an opportunity for Century School students to meet their new teachers, drop off school supplies, find their desks and explore their classrooms for the 2021-22 school year.

The high school open house started with an assembly in which Principal Jeff Johnson introduced the staff and the school handbook. He also opened the floor to staff members who introduced the Panther Tracks program and the BPA and FFA clubs.

Academic adviser Vicki Schroeder said the high school has been registering a lot of new students this fall.

Incoming freshmen and new students also explored the high school, many of them accompanied by family members, looking for their classrooms and meeting their teachers.
