Central Lakes graduates
Central Lakes College, with campuses in Brainerd and Staples, has announced the spring 2020 graduates. High honors students earned a 3.75-4.0 GPA. Honors students earned 3.25-3.74 GPA.
Heavy equipment students are not included in this list because they are finishing their courses late after being delayed because of Covid-19 restrictions.
Rebecca Kumpula, diploma of occupational proficiency, practical nursing, High Honor;
Kurtis Carlson, diploma of occupational proficiency, automotive Technology;
Osage: Isaiah Guida, associate of applied science, natural resources technology, Honors;
Sebeka: Shyanna Cusey, associate of applied science, business management and Kendra Wattenhofer, associate of applied science, child development, care and guidance, Honors.
Miller named Student of the Month
Daniel Miller of Park Rapids was recently named one of Minnesota Connections Academy’s (MNCA) Students of the Month in recognition of his achievements and leadership in the virtual classroom.
Daniel, a fourth grader at the statewide online school, was nominated by his teacher in recognition of his positive attitude and hard work in the classroom. As a Student of the Month, Daniel will be profiled in the Minnesota Connections Academy newsletter and the school’s social media pages.
UMD Dean’s List
Several area students earned a place on the University of Minnesota Duluth Dean's List for spring semester by achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher:

Menahga: Maia Shepersky;
Nevis: Clayton Gallus and Donald Peet;
Osage: Isaac S Kosel;
Park Rapids:Matthew De La Hunt, Adam Herberg, Ellery Overmyer and Isaac Overmyer;

Concordia Dean’s List
Several area students earned a place on the Dean’s Honor List at Concordia College in Moorhead by carrying a minimum of 12 semester credits with a grade point average of at least a 3.7: Liberty Halvorson, Jacob Clements, Andre Schaum, Kenneth David, Coral Johnson, Kinley Nordin, Noah Schulz, Samantha Sabin, Maria Isaacson, Jackson Booth, Rebecca Clyde and Rebecca Twait.
Andres on Dean’s List
Anabelle Andres of Park Rapids was named to Hamline University's College of Liberal Arts Dean's List for the spring semester for earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher while maintaining a full course load.
MState Mankato Honors
Area students who earned a place on the Academic High Honor (4.0 GPA) and Honor lists (3.5 to 3.99 GPA) for spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato are Nathan Weber of Laporte (High Honor) and Natalie Kinkel (Honor) and Jack Simmons (High Honor) from Park Rapids.
Severtson on Dean’s List
Zach Severtson of Park Rapids earned a place on the Dean’s List at Central Lakes College Brainerd and Staples for a GPA of 3.25 to 3.74.
