Several members of the Park Rapids Area High School chapter of Business Professionals of America earned distinction at the BPA state competition March 5-7 in Minneapolis.
Winning state champion trophies in their categories were Sam Reish (computer modeling) and Maddie Soldwisch (medical office procedures).
Also placing in the top 9 were Noel Skadberg (economic research project – individual); Soldwisch, Ellie Ulvin and Lane Monaghan (small business management); and Jada Renneberg, Kaelan Emerson and Braeden Berg (financial analyst team).
Reish and Soldwisch qualified to compete at the BPA’s national leadership conference May 6-10 in Washington, D.C., but the conference has been canceled due to COVID-19/coronavirus concerns.
“We are saddened that they will not be able to complete their year of competition at the national level, but are proud of the work they put in to earn the trip,” said BPA advisor Angie Kuehn.
