Nevis Homecoming kicks off Sept. 24

Nevis School will start its Homecoming week with coronation at 11:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24 in the big gym. Monday is also Dress Up Day.

Tuesday is Hawaiian Day. There will be a pepfest at 2:40 p.m. and the homecoming volleyball match against Laporte at 7:30 p.m. Royalty will be announced before the varsity play.

Wednesday is Class Color Day with seniors wearing white and black, juniors pink and white, sophomores red and black, ninth graders blue and black, eighth graders green and black and seventh graders yellow and black. There will be activities sixth and seventh hours with a volleyball tournament.

Thursday will be Tie Dye Day.

Homecoming will wrap up on Friday with Green and Gold Day. Friday's homecoming football game will be at 7 p.m. against Clearbrook-Gonvick. The pep band will play and royalty will be introduced at halftime.

There will be a junior high dance from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the small gym. The cost is $2 ($1 if wearing a 2018 homecoming button).

The senior high dance will be from 9 to 11:30 p.m. in the small gym. The cost is $4 ($3 if wearing a 2018 homecoming button).
