Edson 'Ed' Mayer
Edson "Ed" Lee Mayer, 85, of Hackensack died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Pine River.
He was born March 6, 1921 to Benjamin and Irene Mayer. He owned Ed's Bait Shop in Hackensack for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Denzel of Iron and Rene Mayer of Backus; two stepdaughters, Deb Jackson and Sue Nielsen, both of Park Rapids; stepson, Russ Kargel of Bozeman, MT; 10 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and four siblings.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; and daughter, Shelly Mayer.
