The Ramsey County medical examiner has determined the death of Rebecca "Becky" Louise Hanson, 55, of Park Rapids was accidental, a "freshwater drowning."

Hanson's body was recovered from Fish Hook Lake where she had gone swimming Saturday, Aug. 4.

Hubbard County investigator Jerry Tatro said the medical examiner's findings are consistent with the investigation at the scene.

According to Tatro, the autopsy report also shows the drowning victim's blood ethanol content was 0.362.

The sheriff's office had received a 911 call reporting a missing swimmer near Deane Point on the south shore of the lake at approximately 9:04 p.m. Aug. 4.

A ground and water search was immediately conducted. At approximately 9:48 p.m., Hanson's body was located approximately 500 yards from the swimming area in about 5.5 feet of water.

Hanson's body was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office in St. Paul for an autopsy.
