Doris M. Alseth, 86, of Park Rapids and Kennesaw, GA, died Sunday, May 20, 2007.
She was born July 31, 1920 in Douglas, ND to James and Bertha (Abraham) McKay. She graduated from Douglas High School, moved to Minot and attended the Steinmetz Business College.
She moved to Washington, DC and worked for the United States Naval Department as a secretary for three years, before returning to Minot and attending the Trinity School of Nursing.
On Aug. 30, 1958, she married Wilton Alseth in Minot. They lived in Williston and Fargo. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years until her retirement in 1983.
They spent summers at their home on Long Lake near Park Rapids and winters in Florida and later in Kennesaw.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids.
Surviving are her husband of Park Rapids; children, James (Elizabeth) of St. Louis and Nancy Muckala of Kennesaw; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leland and Denver, and two sisters, Carol and Marion.
Funeral: A family service in Kennesaw.
Interment: Union Cemetery, Atwater, MN.
