A Detroit Lakes woman suffered minor injuries Tuesday when her car collided with a semi on Highway 10.

Mary A. Kessler, 67, of Detroit Lake was eastbound in a 2000 Toyota Sienna on Highway 10 in Becker County.

David R. Jenson, 68, of Fargo was eastbound behind her in the right lane driving a 2006 Kenworth semi.

The semi moved into the left eastbound lane and was passing the Toyota when the car turned from the right lane into the left lane, striking the right front of the semi, bouncing off and hitting the right side of the truck, according to the State Patrol.

The semi ran off the road into the median. The driver suffered no apparent injuries.

The Toyota ended up in the left lane facing eastbound. Kessler suffered minor injuries, according to the Sate Patrol.

The broadside accident was reported at 2:45 p.m. on dry four-lane blacktop. The Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department assisted at the scene. The mile marker was not recorded in the State Patrol report.
