James Edward Carr, Jr., 45, of 313 Woodcrest Blvd., Detroit Lakes, was ordered to serve four years, eight months in state prison on the charge. He was also fined $190, to be taken from his prison earnings. A second felony count of possession of substances with intent to manufacture was dismissed.

On Oct. 2, 2008, police officers assisting with a probation search of the residence he shared with Tammy Ann Bakke allegedly found a clear plastic baggie containing 180 unpackaged pseudoephedrine tablets, purchased from Kmart and Wal-Mart in Detroit Lakes on multiple occasions over a several month period.
