A Detroit Lakes man has died following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Long Lake Road and Highway 59.
Bernard Herman Nugent, 84, was transported to St. Mary's Innovis hospital in Detroit Lakes, and later transferred to a Fargo hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A passenger in his 1991 Oldsmobile, Mary Mae Nugent, 80, of Detroit Lakes, was also transported to St. Mary's Innovis hospital and transferred to a Fargo hospital, where she was listed in serious condition Tuesday afternoon.
The Oldsmobile was crossing Highway 59 eastbound towards Willow Street when it was struck by a northbound 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by LeAnn Marie Tollefson, 39, of Callaway.
She was transported to St. Mary's Innovis hospital for treatment of her injuries, according to a news release from the Detroit Lakes Police Department.

The accident was reported at 5:29 p.m. Monday. The Detroit Lakes Fire Department, St. Mary's EMS and Becker County deputies assisted at the scene.
The intersection is controlled by stop signs for east and west bound traffic.
