Dense fog blanketed the Hubbard County region this morning, slowing motorists and school buses alike.
Traffic was creeping along area highways where visibility approached zero in many spots.
The National Weather Service put the region under a dense fog advisory.
"It should start burning off as soon as the sun gets a little higher," said NWS meteorologist Peter Rogers.
"It's clear here in Grand Forks, so that should start moving your way."

The Weather Service meanwhile urged motorists to use caution, put headlights on and not follow too closely.
