Brady Yrjo and Alex Brockpahler connected on a touchdown pass with 39 seconds to play and Tom Gruchow ran in the 2-point conversion to give the United North Central football team an 8-6 victory over Pillager last Friday night at Sebeka.
After a scoreless first half, Sean Nokken's 5-yard TD run gave Pillager a 6-0 lead in the third quarter.
Yrjo overcame four interceptions in the game to march the Warriors on their game-winning drive. Andy Floyd then intercepted a pass with 25 seconds to play to preserve the win.
Yrjo completed 10 of 24 passes for 158 yards with Brockpahler hauling in nine passes for 143 yards. Gruchow led the Warriors' rushing attack with career highs of 120 yards on 30 carries.
Defensively, the Warriors held Pillager to 217 yards in offense. Brockpahler had five solo and 11 total tackles while Mike Hepola was in on 13 tackles. Josh Kinnunen also had 11 tackles.

The win gave UNC a 1-0 record in Prairie North Conference play and a 1-3 overall mark. Pillager fell to 1-1 in the conference and 1-3 overall.
The Warriors will travel to Parkers Prairie for another conference game next Friday night.
