David D. Baumann, 71, of Park Rapids died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at his daughter's home in Blakesburg, IA.
He was born May 15, 1934 to Rinhold and Leola (Rosel) Baumann in Grafton, IA. He graduated from Williams High School in 1953 and joined the US Army in 1954, where he served in Korea.
He married Elsie Roe Oct. 26, 1957. They lived in Williams, IA and Rochester. He worked as station manager for Ozark and TWA airlines for 34 years, retiring in 1990. They moved to their lake home in Park Rapids and spent winters in Galveston, TX.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Cindy (Ron) Donohue of Blakesburg; sister, Joan Baumann Smith of Leesburg, FL; brother, Ronald of Iowa Falls, IA; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams, IA with Pastor Tom Hunt officiating.
Interment: Private interment at Rose Grove Cemetery prior to the memorial service.
