Crookston Public Schools are canceling classes Wednesday and the rest of the week because of the elevated number of absences prompted by students, faculty and staff with flu-like symptoms, the Crookston Times reported on its Web site this morning.
Parent-teacher conferences already had been scheduled for Thursday and Friday, meaning no classes those days. And Wednesday already is a scheduled early release date for classes because of a staff development initiative, the Times reported. School Superintendent Wayne Gilman said faculty and staff who lack flu-like symptoms would reporte for the development activity.
