Two suspects were arrested Wednesday afternoon after the Park Rapids Police Department received a report of a male who had shoplifted at L & M Fleet Supply and displayed a firearm as he fled from the property.

According to a news release, the male fled from the parking lot in a vehicle eastbound on State Hwy. 34 at approximately 1:56 p.m. and was accompanied by a female passenger.

“Witnesses on scene provided a description of the suspects, and the vehicle that they fled in. A short time later Hubbard County Deputies located the suspects and the suspect vehicle. The suspects were arrested without incident,” said the release.

Assisting at the scene were Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Cass County, Akeley Police Department, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.

The suspects – Michael Treague, 32, and Danielle A. White, 34 – were booked into the Hubbard County Jail, where they are being held on various felony charges, including second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and theft.
