Northwest Minnesota man charged with soliciting a child for sexual conduct
WARREN, Minn. -- A St. Hilaire, Minn., man faces three years in prison after being charged with soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct.
Kyle Adam Keefe, 21, appeared Tuesday morning, Oct. 2, in Marshall County District Court on the felony charge. Court documents detail how the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report alleging Keefe was engaging in inappropriate behavior with a child.
According to the court documents, the reporting party said he or she found sexually explicit messages on Keefe’s phone that he allegedly sent to a underage teen. When confronted, the child and Keefe both admitted to partaking in video chats during which they engaged in sexual activities, the documents said.
It doesn’t appear the defendant and child had physical contact with each other, according to court documents.
St. Hilaire is around 8 miles south of Thief River Falls.
