The Hubbard County Attorney's Office has filed civil action seeking forfeiture of property connected with felony drug convictions.
Steven Richard Muchow, 52, and Debra Kay Skadberg, 58, were living at 23733 Idlewild Dr. in Mantrap Township when they were arrested in September 2005 and charged with controlled substance crime.
The pair were reported to have been growing marijuana plants on property near their own, then bringing it to their residence to dry and bag. In addition to marijuana found hanging on a line and in numerous bags, other plants were found growing inside and outside their residence in black pots.
Muchow and Skadberg were convicted on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, a felony, on Oct. 11.
Each was sentenced to 60 days in jail and to pay $1,082 in fines.

Because more than $1,000 worth of a controlled substance was found on the property, it is subject to forfeiture.
According to the court summons, Skadberg and Muchow had surrendered the title to Doris E. Skadberg in March 2006, allegedly to avoid the forfeiture, but the summons seeks to set the transfer aside.
If recovered, the property would be forfeited to the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.
