Claude Edmund D'Amico, 68, of Park Rapids died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at his home.
He was born March 22, 1939 to Claude and Helen (D'Amico) Wilcox in Milford, CT and was raised by his maternal grandparents. He graduated from school in Milford in 1957. He enlisted in the US Navy at age 17, serving as a member of the Seabees stationed in Cuba. He was honorably discharged in 1961 and returned to Connecticut. He worked with his grandfather at a service station and did repair work on marine motors with his father. He later worked road and bridge construction. He belonged to the 49ers Construction Union.
He married Mary Jane Quinn and they had two children, Mary and Frank. They lived in Connecticut and he worked as an over-the-road trucker until retiring.
He married Barbara and they had a son, Claude Jr. In 1976, they moved to the Park Rapids area.
He married Cheryl Peabody Aug. 7, 1993. They lived in Park Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; four children, Mary, Frank, Claude Jr. and Jordon; five stepchildren, Debbie, Donna, Tony, Debra and Mark; seven siblings, Francis, John, Sandy, Jay, Jan, Nancy, Cathy and Helen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant child, a brother and a sister.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with Rev. Art Wood officiating.
Interment: Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids.
Military honors will be provided by Star of The North Marine Corp League.
