Clarissa "Clare" Mary Offerdahl, 82, of rural Frazee died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 in rural Frazee.

She was born May 2, 1924 to Jerry and Louise (Tupa) Flicek in Mahnomen. She graduated from Mahnomen High School. She attended secretarial college and worked at a St. Paul law firm.

She married Leland "Lee" Offerdahl of Litchville, ND in 1945. They lived in Mankato, Litchville and Mahnomen. In 1968, they moved to Elbow Lake. She worked at the Grant County Herald for several years. Later she spent winters in Florida and spring and fall in Topeka, KS. She moved to the assisted living unit in Ulen. For the past couple of years she lived with her daughter, Nancy, on Rose Lake, near Frazee.

She was a member of the Catholic Ladies' Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Pam Dew of Hawley, Nancy Marquardt of Frazee and Hali (Roger) Dahlby of Topeka; three sons, Pat of Waubun, Mike (Sue) of Park Rapids and Barry (Kathy) of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, Marcel (Marlene) of Grafton, ND; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Tim and Andy; and brother, Valerian.

Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 17 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Elbow Lake with Father Andrew Marthaler officiating.

Interment: St. Loretto's Catholic Cemetery in Elbow Lake.
