The Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber hosted its annual open house Thursday, sating appetites while offering a budget review, marketing plan and means of networking. The Chamber has created partnerships with government agencies, neighboring communities and other nonprofits and community organizations, executive director Katie Magozzi reports. The goal of these efforts is to help position Park Rapids as a regional trade center and tourism/visitor destination. The Chamber has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards this past year, including the Touchstone Community Energy Award. Nancy Utke was among the participants sampling the fare.
