Randall Scott Seelye, 22, of Cass Lake, was sentenced Wednesday to 78 months in prison for felony dangerous weapons - drive-by shooting toward a person, occupied motor vehicle or occupied building

He pleaded guilty to the charge June 2.

The charge stems from an incident that was reported at 1:55 a.m. Nov. 30, 2007, on the 19000 block of Plantation Road Southeast. The caller reported that there were shots being fired at a residence.

A vehicle had pulled up in front of the residence when a man exited the rear passenger side door and fired six or seven shots at the house before getting into the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene.

At the scene, officers located seven spent 9 mm casings on the ground and also observed several shots that hit the residence and the ground. The shots appeared to be concentrated in the area of a central bedroom of the home.
