A man found dead Thursday, May 20 on a Hubbard County roadway is believed to be the victim of a hit-and-run.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at 4:20 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive male lying in the road on County Road 101, south of U.S. Hwy. 2.
Emergency responders found the male deceased. He was identified as Dominic Cloud, 27, of Cass Lake.
Investigators believe Cloud was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash, the release states. An investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol, Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
