Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on Sunday, July 3 at 11:08 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s
Office received a report of a drive-by shooting in the city of Cass Lake. Officers responded to the scene and
were subsequently notified a gunshot victim had arrived at the hospital. The victim was flown to Sanford
Hospital in Fargo. The victim was identified as Robert Sayers, 26, of Golden Valley.
The incident remains under investigation with the assistance of the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
