Brainerd used six first-place finishes to repeat as the team champion at Saturday's Park Rapids Invitational girls swimming and diving meet.
Brainerd swam away from the field with 630 points. Melrose was second with 419 points and Sauk Centre was third with 413 points. Park Rapids finished seventh with 133 points.
Kyja Penning led the Panthers by placing third in diving with 161.80 points and seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:15.13. Penning also joined Melissa Haas, Alexa Zunich-Andersen and Allycia Zinke for a 2:14.16 for seventh place in the 200 medley relay.
Mandy Schirmers finished 11th with a 6:28.49 and Haas was 13th with a 6:30.17 in the 500 freestyle, Haas took 11th in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:24.65, Zinke took 12th in the 100 backstroke with a 1:16.75, Leah Meinert finished 12th in the 100 butterfly with a 1:19.30 and 15th in the 200 freestyle in 2:21.01, Taylor Ondracek clocked a 2:52.28 for 16th place in the 200 individual medley and a 1:07.84 for 19th place in the 100 freestyle, and Kaitlyn Nelson finished 19th in the 50 freestyle with a 29.45 to account for Park Rapids' other top performances.
"We raced well," said Park Rapids head coach Todd Fritze. "Our times continue to stay the same or get better."
