A collision between a Walmart semi-truck and a Chevy Suburban Monday morning snarled traffic at a major Park Rapids intersection and sent a young boy to the hospital.
The boy, part of a family of six, appeared to be more shaken than badly injured.
The crash, just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 34 and Hubbard County Road 6, caused traffic jams in all four directions around the scene.
Park Rapids Police Chief Terry Eliers, who responded to the crash, said the collision occurred as the semi was turning the corner.
The boy was transported to St. Joseph's Area Health Services in Park Rapids with a bloody nose and possible knee injury.
