Bonnie Marie Johnson, 66, of Mankato died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 at Mankato House Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1940 to Herbert Herman and Ada Marie (Carpenter) Kaiser in Mankato. She graduated from Florence Union High School, Florence, AZ in 1958 and from McConnel Airline School in Minneapo-lis.
She married Marlin V. Johnson Feb. 6, 1960 in Mankato. She lived in Bel-grade Township, Nicollet County until 1982 when they moved to Lake George. She operated the Woodland Store until 1988, then Bon-nie's Moccasin Shop until 2002. She then operated Bon-nie's Diner from 2002 until she was diagnosed with can-cer in 2005.
They founded the Lake George Blueberry Festival. She joined Circle 8 Square Dancing and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by four children, Keith (Cheri) of Aurora, Kevin (Julie) of Rice, Karen (Joe) Chester of North Mankato and Kirby (special friend, Robin Spry) of Lake George; four sib-lings, Delbert (Charlotte) of North Mankato, Harley (Vae) of Backus, Wilma (Everett) Ufford of Phoenix, AZ and David (Lorrie) of Apple Valley; brother-in-law, Riley Svihel of Oakdale; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006; two sisters, Virginia "Ginny" (Robert) Farm; Beverly Svihel; and a nephew.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 7 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Joel Erickson officiating.
Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
