Body found following fire in Belgrade; identified as homeowner

Firefighters found the body of a woman after they put out a blaze at a house in Belgrade in central Minnesota Saturday.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, the house was filled with smoke when firefighters arrived at the scene. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the body of a 64-year-old woman inside.

The Stearns County sheriff's office identified the woman as the homeowner, Dianne Marie Baker. Her body has been sent to the Ramsey County medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.

Belgrade is about 43 miles west of St. Cloud in central Minnesota.
