Betty Ann Decker, 74, of Park Rapids died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at St. Joseph's Area Hospital in Park Rapids.
She was born May 13, 1933 in Park Rapids to Everet and Florence (Chandler) Arnold. She graduated from Park Rapids and worked as a waitress in several area restaurants.
On Sept. 1, 1951 she married Loren Decker in Mound. In the late 1950s, the family moved to the Park Rapids area. She worked for Ringer Manufacturing during the 1960s. In the 1970s, she began working in the housekeeping department at St. Joseph's Hospital and worked there for more than 15 years, earning the position of supervisor.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in Park Rapids. She was also a member of Otto Hendrickson American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Dave of Perham, Lorna (Gene) Boyd of Park Rapids, Kitty (Bernie) Vorel of Hackensack and Cheryl (Wayne) Ronnebaum of Park Rapids; sister, Grace Whitman of Palmer, AK; seven grandchildren, l4 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loren and son Rick in an automobile accident in 1974; five sisters, Ruby, Dorothy, Francis, Vera and Carol; brother, John; twin great-grandsons, Dillon and Gavin; and special friend, Virgil George.
Visitation: 5 to 8 tonight (Wednesday) at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids and one hour prior to the church service.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at the Assembly of God with Rev. Arthur Wood officiating. The organist will be Valdonna Jensen. Congregational hymns will be "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace." Special music will be provided by Michael Howard, who will sing "Go Rest High on the Mountain."
