After a hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 18, Danny Bettcher was sentenced to 720 days in prison for violating the terms of his release.
According to Sarah Berg of the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Bettcher was apprehended on Dec. 8 after he was seen in an establishment that serves alcohol, and was consuming alcohol, both violations of his parole. This was just 40 days after his release from prison.
Although Berg wouldn't speak about Bettcher specifically she said, "In many cases if an offender is revoked from supervision and directed to treatment and completes that treatment, the DOC will reevaluate the length of the incarceration period."
