Bert Hilber, 89, of Fargo died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids.
He was born to John and Ann Hilber in Fargo. He graduated from Fargo High School.
He married Mitzi Bidaux May 30, 1941. He went to electronic school in Colorado as part of the war effort. He became a salesman and moved to Minneapolis where he was regional manager for JR Watkins. In 1956, he returned to Fargo. He started Hilber Chemical Co. and started public speaking. At age 72, he sold his business. He then became active in Stephen Ministry, Meals on Wheels and fundraising for St. Mary's.
He is survived by his children, Bert (Barbara) of Jamestown, Ralph (Christine) of Sacramento, CA, Paul (Kathy) of Charles Town, WV, Keith of San Jon, NM, Margo (Randy) Bernardy of Fargo and Lynette Hilber of Park Rapids; sister, Betty Lou; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and five siblings.

Funeral: 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo.
Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo.
