The Harlem Ambassadors will pit their skills against the Park Rapids Dream Team this fall in a Rotar-sponsored fundraiser.

The Harlem Ambassadors are a team of talented male and female basketball players who are drug-free, college-educated and positive in appearance. The team offers a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball with high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines. They are committed to giving their audience quality family entertainment and serving as positive role models for young people.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Century School gymnasium. Ticket prices are $8 in advance, $10 at the door (kids 4 and under free).

Advance tickets can be purchased at J&B Foods and Coborn's Grocery Store.

Rotary will donate half the proceeds from the event to the Park Rapids Education and Activities Foundation.

"We are proud to provide quality entertainment and lasting memories for audiences of all ages," said Dale Moss, Harlem Ambassadors president. "It's rewarding to give back, especially when the funds generated help build a house for Habitat for Humanity or buy computers for the school library."
