'Bargain Market' will lure outdoor enthusiasts June 9-10

Visitors to the 1st annual Rotary Fishing and Boating Bargain Market will find boating, fishing and water recreational merchandise as well as entertainment for kids and families, special events and food.

Visitors to the 1st annual Rotary Fishing and Boating Bargain Market will find boating, fishing and water recreational merchandise as well as entertainment for kids and families, special events and food.

Anglers and others anxious to pursue outdoor fun are invited to the two-day event June 9-10 at the fairgrounds in Park Rapids. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Boating and fishing items from boats to rods and reels to fishing-related home and cabin décor will be available from a wide range of vendors at bargain prices. Since the Fishing and Boating Bargain Market is the weekend before Father's Day, a gift may be in order.

Rotarians and friends are planning a fish fry at the 4-H food stand on the fairgrounds with other food choices and beverages, including beer, available.

The Park Rapids Rotary Club, sponsors of the event, will donate net proceeds to benefit Park Rapids area youth and educational activities.

The same weekend, Walker is hosting its 2nd annual Marine and Power Sports Show with vendors and dealers outdoor equipment and other items for recreation on land and water. Check it out June 8-10 at Walker City Park on Leech Lake.
