The Menahga Police Department, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found Saturday morning at a Menahga residence.
At 8:48 a.m., Menahga Police Department officers and Wadena County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive female at a home on the 300 block of 3rd Street NW in Menahga. Responders located a deceased female at the residence with no obvious cause of death. The Menahga Police Department then requested investigative assistance from the BCA.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner on Sunday to formally identify the woman and to determine the cause and manner of death.
