An Audubon police squad car was struck by another vehicle at a busy Detroit Lakes intersection Wednesday night while responding to a call.
The police vehicle, driven by Eric Hegna, was responding with lights and sirens to a call when hit was struck by a pickup driven by Diane Bellefeuille, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Bellefeuille, 50, of Detroit Lakes was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado south on U.S. Highway 59. Her vision was obstructed by a semi stopped in a turn lane when she entered the intersection with U.S. Highway 10 and broadsided the squad car, which was traveling westbound, the State Patrol said.
Hegna, 41, of Audubon suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Sean Mork, 29, of Lake Park was a passenger in the 2007 Ford Explorer driven by Hegna. Mork was treated for his injuries and released.
Bellefeuille did not suffer any apparent injuries, the State Patrol said.
