A Grand Forks woman who was shot in the head by her husband is listed in critical condition, Altru Hospital spokeswoman DeAnn Hecht said.
Julie Cordts' family allowed the hospital to release her condition Tuesday after previously requesting it not be made public, Hecht said.
Officers found Cordts, 47, unconscious and seriously wounded on the floor of a bedroom in her home last week. The body of Cordts' husband, 50-year-old Lyle Cordts, was found on the bed.
Investigators believe Lyle Cordts shot his wife once in the head with a .22-caliber handgun before killing himself with a single shot to his head. Detectives are awaiting the final results of Lyle Cordts' autopsy.
Police and court records show that the couple had a history of domestic violence.

Officers interviewed relatives and friends of the couple and spent many hours processing the couple's home for evidence.
"The crime scene had no real surprises for us," Lt. Rahn Farder said.
Sgt. Bill Macki said detectives hope to speak with Julie Cordts.
