Arvig has announced that it has discovered the issue causing the temporary and sporadic Internet traffic bottleneck during peak usage times (evening prime time).
"Identifying exactly what is causing the issue has taken longer than we would have liked because the issue has been so sporadic," said Shaun Carlson, Senior Manager, Information Technology. "We feel we have identified the issue and are preparing to address it during an overnight maintenance period early next week," he continued. "Although we'd like take action immediately, the issue is being caused by a critical piece of equipment; and we want to ensure we don't cause a more severe service interruption."
David Arvig, Vice President/COO said, "We're sorry for this inconvenience; and we want to thank our customers for their continued patience. Once the repair has been successfully implemented, we will be following up with customers who have reported an Internet issue to ensure their Internet service is functioning correctly."
