The North LaPrairie Town Hall was burned to the ground on Tuesday, the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office said today.
At about 5 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff's office received a call that the township hall, a former schoolhouse, was on fire.
The Bagley Fire Department, Clearwater Ambulance, the state fire marshal's office and the sheriff's office responded, but the wooden structure was a total loss, officials said.
Arson is suspected in the fire, officials said, and law enforcement also is investigating a burglary in the vicinity that also was reported Tuesday.
