Arlene 'Sue' Worden
Arlene "Sue" Iris Worden, 91, of Mahnomen died Sunday, April 9, 2006.
She was born April 5, 1915 to Peter and Beulah Bell (Larsen) Larson in Richwood. She attended grade school in Pelican Rapids and in 1933 graduated from Mahnomen High School.
She married Eddie Worden in 1934. They owned and operated a butcher shop and the Red Owl Store in Mahnomen for over 30 years after returning from California in 1947. She was a resident of the Mahnomen Nursing Home.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school, Bible studies and held various offices in the women's group. She was active in the library club, Eastern Star, United Way, Red Cross, Cub Scouts, Camp Fire and various youth activities.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Lynn) Nelson of Moorhead; two sons, Robert (Carolyn) of Mahnomen and Bill of Dent; sister, Phyllis Fingalson of Callaway; brother, Rodney "Sonny" (Jo) of Laughlin, NV; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Muszette Waltz; and brother, Chris.
Funeral: Monday, April 17 at First Lutheran Church in Mahnomen with Pastor Kristen Larson-Schmidt officiating.
Honorary casketbearers: Dan Snobel, Ed Muckenhirn, Myron Hendrickson, Jerry Thorpe, Russell Blattenbauer, Pat Offerdahl, Steve McArthur, Ron Liebl and Steve Bellefeuille.
Active casketbearers: Her grandchildren, Lonna Hlubek, Gary, Grant and Guy Nelson, Todd, Nick, Neal and Alec Worden.
Interment: Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Mahnomen.
