Antique tractor Field Days set for Aug. 6-7

The 24th annual Field Days will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6-7, at the Park Rapids Antique Tractor Club.
The Field Days show is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
The annual event features many tractors on display and demonstrations of combining, threshing, blacksmithing, shingle making and sawmill.
Birdhouse building returns this year as one of the children’s activities after a successful first time last year. Tractor club members will be available with materials needed to help the children construct their birdhouses.
Tractor parades will be held Saturday at noon and Sunday at 1 p.m. Drawings for prizes donated by local merchants will take place every half hour.
There will be live music both days in the pavilion, 1 to 4 p.m., with the Michael James Band on Saturday and polka DJ on Sunday.
A church service will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, with the kids pedal tractor pull at 3 p.m.
The raffle drawing will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. First and second prizes are Ford-Ferguson tractors and a tractor quilt is third prize.
Admission to the event is $5 which includes a collector’s button; children ages 12-under are free. The Antique Tractor Club grounds are located just off County Road 6.
