Five local organizations donated a joint total of $500 to the Hubbard County Food Shelf on Nov. 17.
Armin Hawkins (at left), Sharon Bliss and Terry Bliss present a $500 donation to Hubbard County Food Shelf on Tuesday, accepted by assistant director Denny Ulmer. Hawkins and the Blisses, between them, represent several local organizations that have jointly contributed funds to the food shelf annually for several years, including the Tall Pine Toms Park Rapids Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Osage Sportsman's Club, the Minnesota Darkhouse and Angling Association of Park Rapids, the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association of Park Rapids and the East Hubbard County Fire District.
