Albert Melcher
Albert Christian Melcher, 79, of Park Rapids died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids from cancer.
He was born Feb. 24, 1927 to Herbert and Minerva Melcher in Groton, SD. He served as a Marine at the end of World War II and in Beijing, China.
He married Ruth Ann Craven Dec. 4, 1948. He worked many years at the post office in downtown Minneapolis and lived in Sun City, AZ the past 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Barb (Roger) Wiebesick of Nevis, Sandra (Mark) Rosequist of Peoria, AZ and Nancy (Cliff) Danielson of Coon Rapids; sister, Dorothy (Dean) Darling of Estero, FL; brother, Herbert (Polly) of Minneapolis; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
