Most of Hubbard County woke up to eight inches of snow Saturday as plow operators were once again out in force.
But just to be wicked, Mother Nature left a slick coating of freezing drizzle underneath it all.
It made for another great weekend of snowmobiling and another weekend of grousing for those who hope of spring.
Tonight is daylight saving’s time, for Pete’s sake.

Hubbard County was still in a winter storm warning Saturday morning.
Another three to five inches of snow were expected Saturday, according to the National Weather Service out of Grand Forks.
Here is the forecast: Today, snow. High near 32. East wind 5 to 11 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Tonight: A 30 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. North northwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 25. North northwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Calm wind becoming south southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15.
