The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office received a call of an ATV crash on County Road 44 in Schoolcraft Township at 3:36 p.m. June 7.
The caller reported that a victim in the crash had been ejected from the machine and that he was in a swampy area with his head under water.
Deputies and medical personnel responded to find Timmy White of Laporte, 61, deceased at the scene.
The investigation showed that White had been travelling westbound on County Road 44 on a 1998 Honda ATV when he made an abrupt turn and entered the ditch and rolled several times. White was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident is being investigated by the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office.
