Registration is open for the 3rd Annual Park Rapids Fire Department 5 Alarm 5K Run/Walk scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, July 30.
The race which is open to all ages starts and finishes at the fire hall on Highway 71. The event features water obstacles throughout the course, including a shower head device on one of the fire trucks spraying water on participants in a rain effect for hot weather. There will also be a slip and slide at the end of the course for participants to take part in a celebratory splash.
A $30 pre-registration entry fee will cover race fee, t-shirt and a bag. Pre-registration is due by Thursday, July 28 and entry fee the day of the event is $40. The race helps to raise money for the Park Rapids Volunteer Fire Department firefighter fitness fund.
