According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), work continues to progress on schedule. Crews have been working on 11th street on the new storm sewer system to capacitate a larger amount of water since Hwy. 71 will soon have a new curb and gutter system. This week, crews will move over to the frontage roads to begin the removal of asphalt. Hwy. 71 will continue to remain open while work is continuing on the frontage roads. There will also still be access to businesses.
The next public meeting will be held on Thursday, June 20 at 9 a.m. at the Hubbard County Highway Department, 101 Crocus Hill street in Park Rapids. Visit www.mndot.gov/hwy71-parkrapids for more info.
