Antique tractor and engine club field days

The Antique Tractor and Engine Club will hold its 26th annual Field Days Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4-5 at the showgrounds on Cty. Rd. 6 south of Park Rapids.

Admission includes a collector button. Children under 12 are admitted free.

Gates open at 7 a.m. and breakfast will be held in the pavilion from 7 to 10 a.m. each day.

Events both days include sawmill and threshing demonstrations, tractor parades and pulls, straw baling and much more.

Dance music in the pavilion from 1-4 p.m. will feature the Jim and Joe Band Saturday and Jerry's Polka DJ on Sunday.

Sunday will include devotions in the pavilion from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and a youth pedal tractor pull beginning at 2 p.m.

The Oliver tractor will be the featured model at this year's event, with a raffle drawing for a 1948 Oliver tractor at 5 p.m. Sunday.

A petting zoo will feature baby farm animals and there will also be barrel train rides for kids of all ages.

Goodies will be sold at the East Forty Mercantile. Popcorn and ice cream will be available for snacking throughout the event. There will also be a flea market and swap meet both days of the featuring antiques, crafts and collectibles.
