A teenager charged in a string of convenience store robberies in Grand Forks has reached a plea deal that would put him behind bars for four years.
As part of the deal, 19-year-old Gypsy Watts would plead guilty to three counts of robbery, and in exchange, one robbery charge and a terrorizing charge would be dropped.
Watts, who previously pleaded not guilty, has a change-of-plea hearing set for today in state District Court.
The deal, which must be approved by a judge, also calls for him to serve six years of supervised probation.
Watts is accused of robbing two Cenex stores (one twice) and the Big Cigs store in Grand Forks in April and May. Police said Watts and another man, who has not been arrested, used golf clubs to rob the two Cenex stores April 27.

Watts was charged with four counts of robbery and one count of terrorizing, which stems from an allegation that he threatened a Big Cigs clerk with a knife, saying he was going to kill her.
He remains in custody at the Grand Forks County jail.
